Rescue Centres
There are thousands of dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other animals in need of a forever home. The rescue centres have a procedure to check that your home is suitable and like to meet everyone in your family to make sure that the animal is a good match.
My cats have both been rescue animals and giving them a good home is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. My one-eyed cat Larry, who had a very tough start in life, is trying to climb on top of my laptop as I write this!
Owning a pet is a huge responsibility and has to be considered carefully.
